Pre-Op Day

Tomorrow is Dylan's big day.

After over a year of going back and forth to Dr. Wirtshafter to monitor Dylan's adenoids, tonsils and ears, we've noticed that he was actually getting worst rather than better.  Even though his sleep study from years ago didn't reveal any major problems, we could tell that his hearing was starting to get seriously affect and his congestion consistently lingered.  After several tests, meetings and conversations with different doctors and other moms who have had the procedures done, we finally decided it was time to put in the tubes and removed his (LARGE) tonsils and adenoids.  It was a hard decision to make but everyone promised us it was for the best.
Based on this picture, no one would think that Dylan was literally screaming and kicking at everyone who came near him.  He refused to remove his jacket and sweater, cried, screamed and kicked until he was finally held down by two people (mommy being one of them) just to draw a little tube of blood.

Because Dylan could not eat after midnight and his diet would be limited to ice pops and soft foods for several, he had a BIG dinner with some of his favorites - rice and beans, chicken and rice and macARONI and cheese.  He was a happy boy!
