Sleep Marathon

Dylan practically slept the whole day today and completely missed Memorial Day. We don't blame him though since he slept horribly last night because of the painful teething. Usually he only takes two 1-1.5hr naps. But something has definitely weird today.

He woke up this morning at 9 am

nap#1 10-noon (it was great cuz we got to do some gardening)

nap#2 1-1:45p (in car on our way to Grandma's house)

nap#3 3:30-7:30p (4hrs!!!!!)

bed 8:30p

WOW!!!

Happy 10mth old Birthday!!

and for his birthday, he's getting his 5th tooth along with a low grade fever, bodyaches and loss of appetite.

How fun!

On a different note, time to crack down on party planning for his 1st birthday. So bittersweet!!!

Walking - a notable milestone

Dylan has two months to work on his walking skills for his ring/coin bearer duties.

The other day, he actually stood behind his push walker and walked by himself (see video). No more holding Mommy or Daddy's hands.

Hhhmmm.. how long until he walks on his own?

Needless to say, Daddy and Mommy started to research different ways to baby proof the house.

It's all very exciting and scary at the same time. Watch out!

Morning cuteness

There are very few things that will get us out of bed at 6am. Seeing Dylan's butt up in the air just happens to be one of them. We just had to take pictures of it.

Mother's Day Recap

**posted by Mommy**

Mike and Dylan definitely made my first Mother's Day 'weekend' extremely special. First, Dylan started crawling around on his own (see video below) on Friday. Then, on Saturday, even though I had to work in the morning, I came home to 2 dozen delivered roses from Mike and Dylan. It was a complete surprise. Plus, they even took me shopping that afternoon.

Sunday was just the icing on the cake. Mike took care of Dylan in the morning so I can have some time to myself (which is what he always does on weekends anyway). When I finally came downstairs, they gave me my gifts. First, I got the one and only thing I asked for and wanted- a personalized necklace with Dylan's birthstone (see picture). Then, another surpise was a locket from Mike which is something he's always wanted me to have.

Afterwards, we went to brunch with my mom and Tommy. It was meaningful to celebrate my first mother's day with my own mom. It was a very pampering and relaxing day.

I loved all of it!

Dylan "made" picture frames for the grandmas and great-grandma for mother's day.

Early Mother's Day gift

Our lazy boy finally decided to start moving on his own. It's the closest to crawling we've ever gotten.

Mommy was so happy - it was the best MOTHER'S DAY gift!

King of the King

Reason why Dylan is no longer allowed to sleep in our bed....

He likes to take over the whole bed. He gets half of the bed,
while Mommy and Daddy have to squeeze into the other half.
So, next time we stay at a hotel, Dylan gets his own bed!

Bath Time = Fun Time

Check my two top teeth!

Dylan's Stats

Yesterday we went for D's 9mth well-visit and all was good. He's reached all his milestones and even surpassed some of them. Dr. Chi thinks D will be walking and will skip crawling. Yup, we still don't have a crawler! He's just lazy 'cuz he knows Mommy and Daddy will hand him whatever he wants so he doesn't have to work for it.

One thing was confirmed.... we've still got a long, skinny baby with a BIG HEAD!

1 week - 7 lbs 4oz; 21.25 inches; 36.5cm head circ
1 month - 10lbs; 23.5 inches; 40.25 cm head circ
2 month - 11lbs 2oz; 25.5 inches; 41cm head circ
4 month - 14 lbs; 26.75 inches; 44.5 cm head circ
6 month - 15.8 lbs; 28.5 inches; 45.25 cm head circ
9 month - 17lbs 4oz; 29.5 inches; 47.5 cm head circ

This time around, he's height is 75%, weight is 5% and head circumference is over 95% (Wowza!!)

Mommy's Birthday

Daddy and Dylan took Mommy for a relaxing day at the Sheraton. We spent the day hanging out by the pool then we went to dinner. After, off to Grandma's house for cake.
