Birthday Parties

Most of our weekends are reserved for family day or birthday parties. This weekend we celebrated Ryan 4th and Sara's 3rd birthdays.

At Ryan's party - first time horseback riding
the highlight of the party - riding the monster truck. Dylan talked about all day long!

lots of fun games at Sara's party in Jazzercise
Not only does the cupcake look pretty, but it tasted so yummy

Turtle Back Zoo

Better late than never.

We usually enjoy Turtle Back Zoo in June around Father's Day. This year, our summer has been so hectic that we didn't make it until now. The weather was perfect, the crowd was good and the animals were well-behaved (that includes our boys). It was Logan's first visit and we were surprised at how fixated he was at the animals. Some of our favorites were the train ride (surprised?), Australian Interactive Aviary, and the carousel.

nothing makes them happier than a train ride around the zoo

enjoyed feeding the bird
not a fan of the cracked egg shell

getting them to sit still and smile for a camera is a MAJOR task

Dylan's first homework

When Mommy picked up the boys from school, she was surprised to find out preschool means homework. Dylan was so excited to take it home; however, actually doing it was a different story. We soon found out that a short quick homework will most likely take at least five times the time it requires. Regardless, Dylan finished his first homework and proudly brought it back to his teacher. What a big boy!

(yes, we are starting at step 1)
Mommy making sure he's doing it right
actually doing it by himself
(looks like such a big boy)
after getting up at least three times, watching TV in between, and taking a break to eat his dinner, homework #1 DONE!

Not perfect, but we were actually surprised that he did it.
Proud moment for Mommy and Daddy.
