Progress in Baby S's Nursery

For the past couple of weeks, our weekends have been focused on working on the baby's nursery. Although there's still some finishing touches that needs to be done, here's a sneak peak:

Baby No Name

One of the hardest things when it comes to preparing for a baby is deciding on a name. A few posts ago, we mentioned that Dylan had picked out a name for his baby brother. We were 99% set on using that name since it is also one of our top picks. In the last few days, however, Dylan decided he has changed his mind and refers to the baby by another name.

In other words, we're back to square one... NO name for the baby.

Playdate with Ninang Tessa

Before Ninang Tessa went back to New Mexico, we met her at Van Saun Park for a midday playdate. Dylan first started out shy, but after being bribed with apple snacks, they were friends.

His favorite part - the train ride.

a way to make Daddy proud...

Every night Daddy is in charge of bedtime to a point where Dylan only sleeps if Daddy is lying down next to him. (If it's Mommy, Dylan thinks it's playtime). After putting Dylan to sleep last night, this is what Daddy sees and he quickly took a picture. It was a proud moment!

(note: Daddy dressed him for bed... hence the mismatched 'jamas')

Good News...

Mommy doesn't have Gestational Diabetes. Turns out the banana was the culprit!

Baby is measuring great and HB is strong. Just 8 weeks left and the nursery is finally in progress.

Just for laughs

Never a dull moment in the SB household.

Dylan pointing at Mommy's stretch marks.
D: Oh Mommy, boo-boo. What happened?
M: You and your brother happened.
D: Noooooooo, it's Daddy.
M: Well, I guess technically it's Daddy's fault.

=)

Another trip to Alstede Farms

We had a great weather on Labor Day, but not warm enough for the waterpark. Instead, we went to Alstede Farms to visit the animals. It's definitely one of Dylan's favorite places to go to.

couple of things to notice: a new short hair cut and new orange crocs (he picked out himself and said "it's better" than the brown one Mommy wanted to get for him)
Ate Cece being brave
Dylan, of course, is a pro at this
best buds (for the first 15 mins)
in the corn kingdom

coming out of the hay tunnel (Dylan said "don't like it")

look at those smiles!
going on the hayride
loves the big truck
climbed with Daddy
at top of the hay mountain
new obsession: hoodies

Randomness

2 is a great age. Dylan is talking a lot more, even putting sentences together. He's talking so much that sometimes we just wish he'd be quiet so Mommy and Daddy can have a conversation.

Random things he says:

While mommy is resting on the couch, he pulls Mommy by the hand and says:
C'mon Mommy, get up. Let's go.

When Daddy hugs and tickles him:
Stop it Daddy!

In the car, it's non-stop:
what color is that
look at the tree, look at the car, look at _____ (anything and everything he sees)
Mommy/Daddy, what you doing?

When Grandma was changing his dirty diaper, Grandma said, "OH what is this?"
Dylan: it's Chicken.

At an ATM drive thru
D: want some chicken please

His favorite expressions:

Last morning... (from Ate Cece)
Oh My God
What you doing?
Let's go pasyal
Eat Eat Time
I show you

nothing says I'm A BOY like a pair of dirty feet

Baby S Update

It's always great to see our sweet baby boy. We've got more U/S pictures which we promise to post very soon. His head is pointing down which is just another sign that he's getting ready.... =)

Reason for another U/S - the doctor wanted to get a follow up on the baby's kidneys since 10 weeks ago there were some concerns.

Besides the kidneys, tomorrow Mommy will go in for additional testing for GD.

We'll know results of both tests hopefully by the end of this week or early next week. Praying for good news.
