With Lola's new work schedule, we had to find someone we would trust to watch the boys while Mommy goes to work. The search is always nerve-racking and stressful.
We looked into hiring a Nanny. We interviewed a 24 year old girl, Deanne, who seemed like someone Dylan and Logan would like. But we were unsure about leaving her in the house. After calling several daycares in our area and speaking with a couple of friends and babysitters, we decided to give Tiffany a try. It's a good thing Mommy met Tiffany months ago. She runs a daycare from her home - about 10 minutes away.
Dylan did better than we expected - just as long as he doesn't get into any fights with any of the other kids, we're good =)
Tiffany did tell us that Dylan refused to go to the potty and had a fit when she tried to put diapers on him. No accident though so he probably didn't need to do. The experience did terrify him a little. As soon as Mommy picked him up, he told her he doesn't want diapers because it's only for baby =). Other than that, Tiffany didn't have any problems with the boys. Logan was his happy self - just feed him and have him take a nap!
So the boys now go to Tiffany just once a week for about 4hrs. The other times, they get to spend time with Grandma and Lolo! Thank goodness for them!
It's always difficult to leave the boys but it's always great to hear that they behave themselves while we're gone. Tiffany told Mommy that when Logan was crying Dylan said "Logan, misses his Mommy"
On the car ride home, Dylan always says "Mommy, I don't want you to go to work anymore" HEARTBREAKING!
It seems like Logan is way too young to be rolling from one side of the room to another.. but he's doing it. While this milestone is a big one, the first thing that came to mind was "NO, don't do it!!! You're supposed to be my baby. Don't move!" It makes us sad... very very sad.
This only means one thing - we can't just leave him alone anymore.
We had a wonderful day spent with the special moms in our lives.
First we headed to church early before meeting Grandma and Uncle Tommy for a delicious brunch at Perona Farms. Dylan was so excited to give Grandma a gift he chose just for her - a pot of orchids. Then we went home for a family nap (Mommy's favorite part of the day). The boys must have known it was Mother's Day since they both went down for a nap together. Even better - the nap last 3hrs. Mommy woke up refreshed!
For dinner, Lola and Lolo came over to bring us dinner and play with the boys.
Mommy's gift from the boys - a necklace with their names on it and their birthstones. It does show that Daddy listens to Mommy's little hints ;-)
Logan has outgrown his infant tub so he now either takes a shower with Mommy or Daddy, or gets in the big tub with big brother Dylan. It looks like we've got another water baby!
About a couple of months ago, Daddy and Dylan went to the firehouse for a fundraiser breakfast. Dylan loved it and every time we drive by the firehouse he talks about "going there with Daddy". He also tells us that he wants to go there with Mommy too. So as soon as we found out they were having another fundraiser breakfast at the firehouse, Mommy took Dylan for some pancakes and sausage. He was a happy boy!
Now, when we drive by it, he says " I go there with Mommy too!"
