Dylan is very good with telling us he made ka-ka... but after he's done. Today he told us he made ka-ka but wanted to sit on his potty. Daddy brought him to the potty and a minute later, Mommy hears Daddy say, "Babe, come here... hurry". Sure enough, Dylan made his first ka-ka in the potty.
We're in full party planning mode. This will be Dylan last birthday party as an only child so we wanna try to make it as fun and enjoyable for him as possible.... even though we know he won't remember, we'll have lots of pictures and memories.
So far we know we'll be doing Elmo and trains which are two of his favorite things. Honestly, that's the mostly planning we've gotten so far. Now we have four weeks to think about food, favors, cake, and entertainment.
Of course, Mommy's pregnancy hormones are not making things any easier. Thinking about Dylan turning 2 years old in a month brings in the tears.
and Daddy said "anyone who doesn't like it....too bad, your loss!!!" (like it tessa?)
Not only are we thrilled to be parents of two boys, but we're so excited for Dylan to have a baby brother he can wrestle around with. We definitely see a lot of sports, camping, and even more trains and cars in our future.
Now it's time for the the hardest part of it all - naming our baby!
One thing is for sure... the name Micah is out of the question since Dylan said... "MIIIICCAAAHHHH funny!!!"
The weather forecast didn't look too good for Father's Day, but it turned out to be a great day. We started out with brunch at Noodles Chu with Lolo and Lola then had a family day at Turtle Back Zoo (where we also spent last year's Father's Day... might just become a tradition).
Besides spending the day at the zoo, Mommy got Daddy a subscription to Netflix since selection at the local movie rental is always slim. But Daddy's favorite gift is the two floor tickets to the Wiggles concert in August for a Daddy/Son Day. And, of course, Daddy's homemade card from Dylan =)
Another great Father's Day treat: finding out the baby's sex....so thrilled!!!
(Warning: picture overload!!)
By the time we got to the zoo, Dylan fell asleep. We stayed in the car for an extra 20 min so he can get his power nap
He was mad that we interrupted his nap - not in the mood for pictures.... at all.
He realized where we were.. ALL SMILES! Gotta love a happy boy - he saw the playground petting the big horse
We often wonder if Dylan really knows about the baby. This morning he lifted Mommy's shirt and had a cute conversation with Baby S.
While putting his ears on Mommy's belly, he says "Hi Baby. Good morning Baby. What eating baby? Want pancake? How about sausage?"
Then he turned to Mommy and said, "Baby want some pancake and sausage".

While watching a movie and eating popcorn, Dylan asked - baby, want some pa-corn (popcorn)? Then, he took a popcorn and shoved it in mommy's belly button.
Daddy bought a new bike hoping to ride around the neighborhood early in the morning. The bike is even better now that he can take Dylan along in his bike trailer. Dylan absolutely loves it and keeps asking Daddy to go "again, peeease".
