We were up at 7 AM for D's first day. Daddy took the morning off from work and we all had a hearty breakfast at Panera. Dylan was so excited and kept talking about the wiggles car that he saw from the open house two weeks prior. When we got to the classroom, he didn't want to participate. "I want the wiggles car, Mommy." He knew exactly where the car was, but unfortunately, we had to wait to get in the playroom. After a few minutes, he warmed up and joined the other kids. Every so often, he would look around for Mommy and even asked Mommy to sit with him during snack time.
Logan joined in the fun too. The school had a babysitter for siblings and he didn't cry even just for a little bit.
The first day is only for an hour and parents can stay with the kids. Then the second day is also for an hour but without parents. After that, the kids are there for their full 2.5 hrs.
His reaction when we told him he's going to school
for breakfast: sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant
and apple juice
a family event (although it doesn't seem like Logan is too happy that we had to wake him up early to take D to school)
such a big boy
walking into school by the himself
story time... of course, he's the only one NOT sitting
listening to his teacher
snack time
we ALMOST got a smile from him
He asked Mommy to sit with him
his first art project. he drew the eyes himself
After he heard it was time to go to the playroom, he quickly grabbed the teacher's hand.
the boys went for the cars and trucks while the girls played with dolls and kitchen
the wiggles car (to his left) and the fire truck - he can't stop talking about them
