a new fav toy

Dylan was with Lolo at Costco when he saw this ride on toy. He called it the "black truck with the tires and tires and tires and the gray". He talked about it for weeks. It was essentially the ONE thing he truly wanted for Christmas. But, it's a little bit too small for him and Lolo and Lola already got him his ride-on Escalade last Christmas. So Lolo told him he was going to buy it for Logan and he can just share with his brother. Surprisely, Dylan agreed but said Logan will just ride in the back because he's still a baby. ;-)

around the house they go ALL DAY LONG - it is definitely the one toy they both love.

Ice Skating

For the first day of the year, Logan spent the whole day getting spoiled by Uncle Tommy and Grandma. According to Grandma, Logan ate everything in sight and played with whatever he wanted. As Grandma would say, "he can have whatever he wants" which is probably the reason why he LOVES Grandma's. By the look of the place, we are definite Logan had an awesome time!

In the meantime, Dylan had some alone time with Daddy and Mommy. We took him ice skating and even Mommy decided to put on a pair of skates - Daddy was very happy.

We especially liked this place because they have special walkers for Dylan (and Mommy) to hold on to. They had an area dedicated especially for little kids which is where we spent most of our time while Daddy did laps around the rink. Dylan also had any treats and snacks of his choice.

It was a great day for all!

Happy New Year!

Good-bye 2010 - Hello 2011

We welcomed 2011 surrounded by a lot of laughs and love. We had dinner with cousins, aunts and uncles in Jersey City then joined Lolo and Lola Mia as we counted down to the new year.

We had our matching polka dot socks, ate 12 grapes and had pocket full of coins - all for lots of good luck in the coming year.

Logan made it until about 10pm. Even after falling asleep with Tia Tessie, moving him into his car seat, driving to Lolo and Lola's house, and all the noise in the house, he still stayed asleep. Dylan was so thrilled to be up late. He played with Tita Princess' piano, watched movies and ate - a lot. He enjoyed Lolo's home cooked ham (the best there is!), pandesal and hot chocolate. He stayed up until we got into the car and drove home.

We are so blessed to have so much life and love around us. This past year has been great as we watched the boys develop their own personalities and create wonderful memories. For 2011, we look forward to more adventures with friends and families. We can't wait to see what's in store for us - Logan talking more, the boys playing together, Dylan continuing to learn how to spell and read, family vacations , Mommy's career change, and Daddy's new work opportunities. We foresee an exciting 2011!

Let it snow

The Blizzard of 2010 brought in about 20-26 inches of snow. Daddy woke up early to shovel the driveway only to find the streets still unshovelled. He waited and listened for the plow trucks which came around 7am. Finally at about 8am, Daddy was ready to head to work only to find out they were closed when he got there! ugh!

As soon as he came home, Dylan wanted to go outside and build a snowman. It was too windy and cold so we waited until the wind died down a little. At about 3pm, we bundled up the kids and headed outside for some pictures and snow fun.

Tis the Season

Coming down the stairs to find what Santa left for us. Dylan was thrilled to find all the gifts in front of the fire place. "Mom, look at all my presents!!!"

First stop was Christmas breakfast at Grandma and Uncle Tommy's house with lots more presents to open.


Then lunch at Lolo and Lola's house. It was also great to see all the aunties, uncles, and cousins. The boys must have been really good this year because there were even more present to open... and lots of food to eat...as always





Last, we drove to Paramus for a late dinner/dessert. Here are the boys with a couple of their cousins, Bella and AV.


It was a long but great Christmas spent with loved ones.

The Eve of Christmas

Every year on Christmas eve we enjoy spending a quiet day at home as a family before the craziness of Christmas day. We finished wrapping all the Christmas gifts, baking cookies, making truffles, and preparing for Santa's visit. We also went to church for Christmas mass which was a big deal for the two boys. We had to make sure we had snacks, toys, juice, and crafts to keep them entertained. For the most part, they were well behaved, but the fact that it was too close to their bedtime (7pm mass) was challenging.

Before going to bed, we told Dylan that Santa was gonna come to the house while he was asleep and he was so excited he wouldn't go to bed because he wanted to "have a snack and watch a movie with Santa".

After both kids were asleep, we stayed up prepping for Santa's visit and making sure he had cookies and water.
